What is a cause campaign profile?

If you feel passionately about a specific charity and want to contribute your time and energy to making a difference, you can set-up a dedicated campaign to raise funds for your cause. We currently support all US-based 501(c)(3) organizations and provide an easy way for you to fundraise and launch immediately.

Simply click on the link below and you're one step closer to helping your favorite charity. All donations from your efforts go directly to the chosen charity. Are you a US-based 501(c)(3) organization and would like to be included?

If you represent a charitable organization, you can create an enhanced cause profile that allows you to accept general donations in addition to, or in lieu of, a project.

By creating an enhanced cause profile, you can introduce the HelpersUnite community to your organization and engage interest in a more personal way. Here's How Our Cause Profiles Work

Can I/we update our profile page regularly to inform Helpers of upcoming events or special projects?

Yes, you can update your campaign anytime! You can also create additional campaigns to raise money for specific initiatives by creating an event or a cause campaign page and choosing to have the ticket sales or the funds donated to your charity. Your event or project pages will link to and from your cause profile page so your Helpers can learn all about the good work you are doing.

Our simple process to get your cause live

HelpersUnite.com is able to process donations to 1.5 million U.S.-based charities. When you set up your cause profile or campaign through HelpersUnite, you can add customized content to help connect with our community.

For individuals:
Once you complete the information required to create a cause campaign, your personal fundraising page will be live immediately.

For 501(c)(3) Organizations:
To set-up an enhanced profile or be featured, you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Initial approval. You'll use a short form to submit your organization, along with proof that you are an authorized representative, for initial approval. We'll check our database and make sure you'll be set up to receive disbursements. Once approved, you'll be invited to complete your enhanced cause profile.
  2. Final approval. ou'll create your profile by using video, photos and personal messaging, as well as general information about your organization.
  3. Your live cause profile. Once you have published your enhanced cause profile, you can edit or update your profile as needed.
How much does it cost to create a cause profile or campaign?

It's free to post. For any received contributions, HelpersUnite will deduct fees totaling 9% which include all credit card processing fees, charity disbursement fees and our administrative fee.

Do cause profiles or campaigns need to be renewed after a certain time period?

For campaigns, you have the option to set any amount of time or fundraising goal or just keep it open-ended. It's up to you.

For 501(c)(3) enhanced cause profiles, there's no time limit or expiration date once you launch.

Can you feature my charity?

We're always looking for charities to feature. If you think your charity should be featured, send us a note at campaigns@helpersunite.com.

How often are charitable contributions disbursed to the charity?

Contributions made to charitable organizations are disbursed monthly via check or weekly via ACH if the charity has an account with our partner, FirstGiving.

Can HelpersUnite process donations through the charity's donation page?

All donations made through HelpersUnite are processed through our platform, which combines general donations with donations that you receive through associated projects and events. That's the power of collaboration!

How do Helpers receive receipts?

All Helpers receive a confirmation email at the time of donation. For donations of $5.00 or more, this email can be used as a receipt for tax deduction purposes. Please consult your tax professional.
