Hello. My name is Tony Noe, a New York City singer/songwriter. I have teamed up with HelpersUnite and it is our hope that with some effort, a song and the generosity of others, the overwhelming unity, compassion and cooperative spirit present during the immediate aftermath of the September 11 tragedy could be made available again today as it continues to unfold.
 
Join us in our response to the responders

We would like to raise money for 9/11 first responder cancer victims who are currently denied access to the long overdue government funding which was set up for 9/11 first responders with medical illnesses.

Simply put, this is a gross injustice. As we all know, these are the people who rushed to the scene and stayed there for months in the painstaking process of recovery. They are responsible for piecing together the site, the city, the country, and in some respects, the world, while everyone else tried to get their own lives together again as best as they could.

It is now ten years later and these true heroes have become ill.  When and if this situation gets resolved, it will take time. But they don’t have the luxury of more time. Red tape needs to be shredded for this issue, and it just doesn’t seem likely to happen soon enough.

Help us help the 9/11 first responder cancer victims

We are planting a seed with the song “Sacred Place.” The vision is that the cause will grow and move along and everyone will join in and contribute something. Whether it’s a direct financial contribution of any size, a contribution of artistic or entrepreneurial talent, or whatever you can think of that would be an appropriate way to help this movement happen and aid in this response. It could be a collection, a fund drive, an event, a benefit, a telethon, a work of art, etc. -- any idea that could generate donations as they were generously given ten years ago. It would be a great gesture to the responders and their families to show that they are not forgotten. They were there for everyone and now we can give back to them.

Donations benefit The FealGood Foundation

100% of funds raised through HelpersUnite, net of transaction fees, will go directly to The FealGood Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to spreading awareness and educating the public about the catastrophic health effects on 9/11 first responders. This organization also provides assistance to relieve these great heroes of the financial burdens placed on them since that day.
